What's your new role about?

DAZN’s B2B mission is “to bring people together with live sports”. Moving away from the dependency on traditional linear TV, DAZN’s B2B streaming platform creates a more flexible viewing experience offering substantial more choice for our business customers.  Our ambition is to provide commercial venues a sports service that will bring in more customers, who will stay longer and visit more frequently. 
With your background in broadcasting and working with commercial partners, this is a unique global role with huge responsibility for the overall B2B offering – from supporting more established B2B markets such as DACH and Italy to fast-tracking growth in countries such as Japan, the UK and new markets.
In this role you’ll get to work with local commercial premises teams, leading on developing their go-to-market strategy and supporting its execution – creating the whole playbook from marketing and sales best practices through to building the right product proposition. As part of the central function, you’ll be the key link to our product and tech teams to drive the B2B product development based on local market needs.

As our new VP Commercial B2B, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Establish a Market Playbook: Develop and implement best practices and working processes for new market launches, ensuring a smooth and successful rollout of DAZN’s commercial premises offering.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Build and mentor local commercial premises teams, driving clear commercial growth strategies tailored to each market segment, industry sector, and country. Your leadership will be crucial in making Commercial Premises a rapidly expanding part of DAZN’s portfolio.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Oversee and manage strategic relationships with third parties across various sectors, including technology, Pay TV, telecoms, transport, and hospitality. Your ability to nurture these partnerships will be essential to our success.
  • Product and Tech Requirements: Define and set business requirements for our product and tech teams, ensuring our offerings are aligned with local market needs and developing a commercially driven roadmap.
  • B2B Product Penetration: Ensure DAZN’s B2B product penetrates all venue types and supports DAZN verticals. Drive new revenue streams through innovative approaches.
  • Financial Oversight: In put on the global commercial premises P&L, consolidating monthly reporting to ensure we meet our combined global targets. Your financial acumen will be key in steering our business unit toward success.
  • Collaborative Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to create cohesive marketing, PR, and promotional plans for each market/region. Your collaborative efforts will ensure our messaging is strong and consistent.
  • Strategic Insight and Data Utilization: Partner with the analytics function to develop an insight and data-led approach, ensuring effective go-to-market plans and distribution partnerships.
  • Sports Rights Portfolio Management: Collaborate with local market teams to evaluate and optimize our sports rights portfolio, product valuation, packaging, and pricing strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive DAZN’s growth through a relentless focus on insights and continuous improvement, revolutionizing the delivery of live sports to out-of-home audiences.

You'll have:

  • Broadcasting Expertise: Extensive knowledge of commercial premises offerings within broadcasting, with experience working at or with Tier 1 broadcasters.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with diverse internal teams—from product to marketing—to establish a B2B product playbook and go-to-market strategies.
  • International Experience: Strong presence and expertise in defining market-specific product needs, working effectively with local B2B teams in an international environment.
  • Business Development Skills: Adept at identifying new business opportunities and driving creative revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Strategic and Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated experience in using strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to forge and nurture commercial partnerships.
  • Insight and Trend Knowledge: Deep understanding of key areas such as Insights, Sales, Accounts, and Partnerships, along with a strong grasp of sports and consumer trends in a subscription growth environment.
  • Organizational Prowess: Strong ability to plan, set goals, prioritize, and deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Innovative Mindset: Passionate about initiating and implementing ideas that drive growth, leveraging data and insights to achieve success.
