What's your new role about?

The role will be responsible for developing and owning a Sportsbook Product Strategy and roadmap for various channels for DAZN BET. An essential part of the role is driving acquisition and sports revenue therefore understanding the core player journeys from product’s point of view and conversion KPIs are essential for the role. 
 
You’ll continuously develop an excellent understanding of the DAZN BET customer base, partnered with an in depth understanding of sports betting in every market that DAZN BET operates,identifying unique opportunities to acquire and retain DAZN customers with a compelling sports betting offering. You will work to ensure we deliver a best in class, safe place to bet for our customers, whilst continuing to drive innovative and disruptive solutions. 
 
You’ll be setting a clear Sportsbook & Trading Strategy, overseeing product performance against OKRs, key metrics, and leading product discovery and planning activities. Working closely with the rest of the Sportsbook & Trading Team to understand the strategic direction for the product, providing new ideas, guidance, and support. Developing new initiatives, epics, user stories, managing backlog prioritisation, and planning, whilst implementing clear acceptance criteria alongside the Product Team and stakeholders. 
 
Managing relationships with the third-party development teams and building an excellent understanding of the business technology capabilities to understand development opportunities, to continually enhance our product offering. Ensuring thorough testing of new products and features and overseeing the overall delivery, whilst aligning with key teams to enable business readiness for new product and feature launches.

As our new Senior Product Manager (Sports), you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Responsible for ensuring that Sportsbook requirements are integrated into the journey of each of the Platform-related Product roadmaps. 
  • Responsible for defining, tracking, and improving the Sports Betting experience product performance against established OKRs, KPIs, and targets across all our Global markets.  
  • Aligning with the Product team members in the overall roadmap, ensuring the Sportsbook plans are clear and in line with the overall business strategy  
  • Work closely with Customers, DAZN, Marketing, MDs, Designers, Analysts & Product Managers to fully empathise and understand customer behaviour, needs, desires, and pain points. Translating insights into actionable strategies, tactics and experiments aligned with stakeholders to drive business value in each of our global markets.  
  • Work closely with the Sports Technology provider & Trading Team to understand the capabilities of business platforms, gathering feedback from stakeholders on improvements, ensuring these are prioritised and captured in the product roadmap.   
  • Responsible for all product discovery activities, prioritisation, and planning of product roadmaps across DAZN Bet and suppliers for Sportsbook and Trading.  
  • Responsible for collaborating with third parties, stakeholders, and other product managers to explore innovative solutions and ideas, striving to ensure the offering stands out within the market and anticipates future opportunities. 
  • Ability to understand stakeholder and business requirements and translate these into epics/user stories to be delivered to the third-party development teams, ensuring we continually review and show case development builds / changes to stakeholders 
  • Research, define, recommend and implement digital sportsbook specific innovation of new technologies 
  • Work with the analytics teams within the business and Group companies to utilise data and identify business growth opportunities through product strategy  
  • Responsible for developing clear business cases, demonstrating the benefits of the product roadmap, determining key measures of success and ROI 
  • Carry out user acceptance testing and working with key stakeholders to ensure all requirements have been met and are in line with expectations, seeing the product / features through to delivery 

You'll have:

  •  Must have experienceat a Head of Product or Senior Product Manager role for a sports betting business. 
  • Experienced working with Executive Leadership level to define a clear product strategy 
  • Experienced at driving Sportsbook commercial value through product strategy and delivery execution 
  • Experienced in defining business requirements in the context of software and technical development using epics, user stories and agile methodologies.  
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills  
  • Strong customer research skills 
  • Strong commercial understanding of digital sportsbook trading  
  • Strong analytical and product management skills  
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills with an expert eye for detail 
  • Strong understanding of sports betting customers, their needs, wants and expectations 
  • Strong relationship management skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Scrum agile delivery methods 
  • Experience of working with UX/UI team
