We're looking forward to welcoming a new finance professional to our team who will play a critical role in the continued expansion of our Spanish business. Based from Madrid, you will be primarily responsible for managing the financial performance of the region, enabling effective decision making across the P&L.  You’ll have the opportunity to interpret financial results and business KPIs to drive business performance and maximise commercial opportunities. Your broad remit will include budgeting, re-forecasting, and reporting / presenting, driving business performance and maximising return on assets and providing a consultative and influential service to your commercial business partners to help them become more KPI driven.

As our new Senior Finance Manager you will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyse the financial results and suite of business KPIs and use them to play an important role in driving performance and maximising opportunities within the region
  • Support regional stakeholders with respect to evaluating, negotiating and contracting new opportunities and contracts, including financial modelling in alignment with best practice from the central financial modelling team 
  • Assist with the preparation of regional annual quarterly forecasts and annual budgets across the P&L (including challenging / obtaining buy-in from non-finance teams on the forecast inputs & KPIs that drive financial outputs) and managing the business against those barometers & reporting / interpreting actual results
  • Support the preparation of board and management presentations that include a holistic overview of the financial performance
  • Conduct granular and detailed analysis during regular post implementation reviews to continually provide insights and learnings for future investments
  • Prepare monthly financial reviews for regional and central stakeholders, analysing financial performance against benchmarks and highlighting risks, opportunities and insights
  • Drive Financial Governance throughout the function including, but not limited to, purchase order approval, expense and cost tracking and contract approvals
  • Ensure financial and revenue KPI performance is accessible and maintained for management and to the Board as required. This will include the production and presentation of regular financial reports concerning sales and cost performance
  • Work closely with Group Finance in order to drive continuous improvements in the delivery of finance services to key finance / other management stakeholders impacting revenue including cash-flow management and provision of monthly management accounts (including balance sheet)   

You'll be set up for success if you have:

  • Fluent language skills in Spanish & English
  • Experience operating in a finance business partnering capacity and qualified (i.e. chartered, certified or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a consumer-focused high-growth, tech or media organisation
  • Ability to partner with the business across a range of disciplines, including commercial, marketing, partnerships, content & data analytics
  • Proven ability to thrive in multifaceted environment under short timelines & changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of finance, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, being involved with at least some of these tasks
  • Awareness of off and on-line marketing methodologies
  • Excellent financial modelling, quantitative & data analysis skills
