Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – DAZN
 
We are looking for an experienced Full-stack Developer who is passionate about building modern, scalable applications, and will take ownership of the full product feature cycle from design to delivery.
 
Your team
 
The R&D group is building and delivering the enablement platform for the current and next generation of media experiences in the fields of personalization, content interaction, and social interaction, all of which are at the core of DAZN's value proposition. 
 
Key parts of the workflow are ingestion, transcoding of various video and audio live/VOD assets, personalized processing, and distribution across the world to end-users, while allowing collaboration among users, all in real-time. This group is taking full responsibility for providing end-to-end social interactions functionalities on multiple platforms including web, smart TVs, iOS, Android, PlayStation, and Xbox.
 
As our new Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:
 
Build and maintain scalable, performant and elegant micro-services.
Deliver clear, robust, and (automatically) testable code.
Collaborate with stakeholders such as product managers, UX designers and other software engineers to deliver a compelling user experience.
Become the source of full-stack knowledge and go-to person for the team.
Influence the design and implementation of the sports watching experience in DAZN impacting millions of users.
Partner with the other Software Engineering teams to create end to end solutions.
 
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
 
 At least 7 years programming experience, some of them in JS/TypeScript.
Proven expert level knowledge in BE & FE development (NodeJS, React, electron, npm/yarn, Webpack).
Experience with cloud (preferably AWS) and/or micro-services.
Proven experience mentoring junior developers, defining work procedures and coding conventions.
Experience working with various databases (preferably more than two).
 
Even better if you have:
 
Technical understanding of video encoding, DRM, video playback.
Broad knowledge of the JS ecosystem and experience working with other programming languages.
Worked both in a startup and corporate companies (and comfortable with the different mindsets).
Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex, performance-oriented systems.
Experience working development tools (Terraform, GitHub actions).
Experience working with WebRTC and WebSocket protocols.
