With your background in data analytics or cloud-based data warehousing (DWH) and your love for tech & sports, you will get the chance to bring data solutions to life; providing DAZN with valuable insight. As DAZN is a truly data driven environment, the Analytics & Insights Team is at the heart of every decision made within the business.
To give you an idea of what we mean by a state-of-art data environment: we operate within a Snowflake Data Warehouse, using Dataiku as an ETL tool to clean, enrich and prepare data to then be surfaced to the business via Tableau and Looker.

As our new Business Intelligence Lead, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Managing one of the BI team and owning end-to-end data projects, including building robust datasets, proactive stakeholder interaction and uncovering new insights
  • Building out long/medium term plans for Business Intelligence and associated tools with strong commercial mindset/business knowledge - influencing change within the business
  • Strong focus on educating the business to self-serve through Looker or how to code the warehouse directly using SQL.
  • Wrangling data using our ETL tool, Dataiku (a collaborative data science software platform) and SQL/Python to build stable data sets / building data models / building curated datasets
  • Working with different functions and stakeholders to develop insights, KPIs and data initiatives, and integrating them into our data model, being a focal point for data within DAZN

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • At least two years of practical, hands-on, experience working with data – preferably with customer or subscription data
  • Proven ability to test the status quo and innovate
  • Evidence of managing projects from end-to-end, understanding priorities and impact on business
  • Strong experience in data transformation / data wrangling using SQL and ETL tools such as Alteryx, DSS or Knime.
  • Strong experience in constructing and maintaining a BI tool environment, including educating the business on how to interact with DAZN’s data.
  • Frequent exposure to business stakeholders and able to understand business requirements and translating that into data products.
  • Ability to explain/present technical information to a non-technical stakeholder in a logical and understandable manner.
