What's your new role about?
As a Data Engineer within DAZN's Technology team, DAZN is seeking a talented, Data Engineer with a strong foundation in Python and SQL to join our team.
This role is full-time, based in our Hyderabad, India office, 5 days a week WFO.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Acquisition and Management:
Utilize advanced SQL and Python scripting to collect, store, and manage data from various sources ensuring data accuracy and availability.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support the evolving needs of the analytics team.
- Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the analytics team to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
Offer technical expertise and support to team members working on statistical analysis and data storytelling projects.
Foster a culture of sharing and collaboration within the team.
- Data Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure high data accuracy and reliability.
Address data-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal impact on team operations.
- Data Preparation and Transformation:
Prepare and transform data to meet the requirements of the analytics team, ensuring it's in the right format for analysis.
Assist in developing scripts and tools that automate data workflows, enabling the team to focus more on analysis.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management practices within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a data engineering or similar role with a strong focus on Python and SQL.
- Proficiency in data pipeline construction, database management, and data transformation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical team members.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
- Experience in a data-driven environment supporting data analytics or data science teams is a plus.
