What's your new role about?

DAZN is hiring an interim People Advisor to join our fast-paced business delivering sport to its fans, primarily based in Amsterdam but with some travel to other sites when needed.

This role will report into the Head of People in the Netherlands, you will be part of a vibrant team of HR colleagues based in Amsterdam.

Our Amsterdam office is going through a fast scale up, this role is key in supporting managers to build the right culture and practices for our employees. A key part of this role will be to provide day-to-day generalist support and advice to our managers across the business, along with supporting with the cyclical HR activity including but not limited to; Performance Review cycle, Annual Salary Review, Career Development planning and supporting with various initiatives set out in the annual People Plans to be embedded locally.

you'll be the perfect fit if you come with a solid generalist background and if you are looking to be part of a fast-paced dynamic team. You'll bring a strong knowledge of Dutch employment law and practical experience with managing employee relations. You'll be confident and professional your manner within a team environment. In this role, you'll get to support all parts of the business and as such will be able to utilise your excellent relationship building skills.
This role is be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

As our new People Advisor, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Proactively work with the Head of People within DAZN to ensure the local People Plan Initiatives are embedded within the different business areas
  • Advice Head of People on local impact of strategic initiatives
  • Support the talent management processes and follow up actions including succession planning and development
  • Provide generalist support to various teams on HR and Recruitment advice & people management support
  • Support mid and senior level management on people management approach and act as business partner
  • Support with internal review processes ensuring managers have clarity on this, data is correct & the processes runs seamlessly
  • Provide reliable advice on employee relations, contractual and HR issues in line with the local terms and conditions of employment ensuring a pragmatic business and best practice approach
  • Support and coach managers to effectively drive team engagement and engaging work environment

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • A broad understanding of different aspects of people and culture processes, including strong knowledge of Dutch employment law
  • Understanding of relocation and immigration laws for the Netherlands
  • Experience with influencing business stakeholders to adopt appropriate People strategies that support the business agenda
  • Ability to work on all levels – strategic, tactic and operational
  • Ability to communicate effectively, succinctly and professionally to all levels of people
  • An upbeat and positive attitude
  • Customer driven, collaborative with a hands-on approach and the proven ability of identifying pragmatic business focused solutions to problems whilst recognizing risks and implications of suggested actions
  • Confident self-starter able to work independently as well as effectively as part of a remote People team
  • Strong organizational capability, able to prioritize and delegate to meet deadlines and to manage diverse work
  • Strong MS Office and IT literacy with the proven ability to create and deliver workshops and presentations  
  • Having a people-first approach to all your actions

Even better if you have:

  • A professional Human Resources qualification
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and sometimes unstructured environment
  • Experience working with technology-focused workforce
