What's your new role about?

Are you looking for a chance to grow your production career and are interested in working in the exciting area of global basketball? Then our Production Coordinator for FIBA Media could be a great next step for you!

DAZN entered into a 17-year partnership with FIBA (the International Basketball Federation) to manage worldwide media rights for all national team events. Its an exciting time to join with us preparing for multiple international events including the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2023. This could be a great chance to join the team and grow your Production career!

A key component of our collaboration with FIBA will see the DAZN team take the lead in defining and managing all aspects of content production and distribution. FIBA Media has been set up by FIBA and DAZN as the entity that is wholly responsible for the implementation of all aspects related to the agreement.

Your base location will be Feltham in Greater London, so it is essential, due to the nature of working on sports events, that you can sometimes arrange your journey to and from work outside of public transport hours. The role is full time and will require flexibility as the hours will include evenings and some possible weekend work.

Benefits include access to DAZN, 25 days’ annual leave (increasing by 3 days after 3 years), annual performance-related bonus, private medical insurance, life assurance, pension contributions up to 5%, family friendly community, free access for you and one other to our workplace mental health platform app (Unmind), learning and development resources, opportunity for flexible working and access to our internal speaker series and events.

As our new Production Coordinator for FIBA Media, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work with the Production Managers across all FIBA events such as the World Cup Qualifiers, FIBA’s continental tournaments across Africa, America, Asia and Europe and other National events totalling approximately 400 games per year. The team is also starting to prepare for the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2023 in Philippines, Indonesia and Japan.
  • Assist the Production Management team with other adhoc production for the editorial and digital marketing teams who produce a variety of projects for broadcast and digital clients around the world
  • Onboard new suppliers, provide invoicing procedures and process invoices
  • Assist the Production Managers with the tracking of costs for each event using existing finance trackers
  • Coordinate facility bookings and staff and freelancer rotas with the Post-Production Team
  • Manage all production logistics and coordination for the events mentioned above including crew travel, crew bookings, call sheets and risk assessments
  • Keep all live production documents, supplier and event databases up to date
  • Book all FIBA Media team travel to and from location and arrange all logistics for conferences and meetings
  • You’ll be coordinating onsite shoots, incl. sourcing crew, booking travel, providing briefs and all production documentation required to crew and suppliers

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Experience in booking travel or crew
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication, working well as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to work under pressure with effective prioritisation
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility with working hours when required

Even better if you have:

  • Experience booking crew and travel for live sports events
  • Experience in production of international sports events
  • European language skills
