What's your new role about?

Do you want to be part of a team that engineers a global product that’s used by millions of users daily?
DAZN is one of the fasting growing OTT companies in the world and stream over 40 different sports, from more than 300 different leagues, in over 200 countries. Since we launched in 2016, we have streamed more than 600 million hours of content!
Your team
Teams are typically made up of around 5-8 Engineers, a Product Manager, Scrum Master and an Engineering manager
You will sit across several of those teams, in a leadership position in the Engineering Quality Function. You will engage with various teams, and formulate a coherent solution to contract testing, e2e testing and monitoring that can be used consistently to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
We support remote working, the only requirement is to be able to come to our London office every few weeks for any meetings, design sessions, or maybe just to socialise (once the pandemic is over and we would be able to socialise again).
Tech stack: JavaScript, React, CSS, HTML5, AWS
Benefits include access to DAZN, 25 days’ annual leave (increasing by 3 days after 3 years), annual performance-related bonus, private medical insurance, life assurance, pension contributions up to 5%, family friendly community, free access for you and one other to our workplace mental health platform app (Unmind), learning and development resources, opportunity for flexible working and access to our internal speaker series and events.

As our new Principle Software Developer in Test, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Define and implement test strategies and frameworks across several teams and environments
  • Work closely with multiple dev/product teams to create and maintain test cases covering product/feature requirements and help the teams test their software.
  • Pairing with developers to build out test automation
  • Work closely with teams to identify key quality metrics
  • Work closely with stakeholders outside the team to manage releases.
  • Mentor more junior members of the team who are interested in developing their skills

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Experience with any JS/TS based e2e test automation framework (e.g. webdriverIO, playwright, testcafe, cypress etc)
  • Practical knowledge of any programming language
  • Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working on live applications with a continuous feature development / release cycle.
  • Knowledge of bug database systems and test-tracking software such as JIRA and Test Rail.
  • Experience working in an agile team and familiar with agile methodologies
  • A positive, proactive energy that can motivate other members of the team and drive change forward

Even better if you have:

  • JavaScript and/or Typescript experience
  • Hands-on experience with different types of test automation other than functional e2e (e.g. unit, visual, integration, non functional)
  • Backend testing experience (manual and automated)
  • AWS experience
