What's your new role about?

As a Performance Analyst you will primarily be responsible is for evaluating and reporting on the performance of systems and functions across the Development and Delivery department.

DAZN streams over 40 different sports, from more than 300 different leagues in over 9 markets including Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and the USA. Since we launched 4+ years ago we have streamed more than 500 million hours of content in one year and in December 2020 we will be global in over 200 territories!

You will get the chance to work alongside Head of Performance Analysis – Adam Russell! You will have loads of impact in driving DAZN's global expansion. You will help us become more profitable through reduced costs, increased revenues and assisting in improving the overall efficiency. 

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL DO (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE IMPORTANT STUFF!)

  • You will perform various functions, including monitoring, optimizing, and managing the performance of KPI’s in the D&D division
  • Responsible for identifying areas of improvements and concerns in business operational areas and provide appropriate strategies to resolve them
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of performance metrics to improve business operational efficiency
  • Responsible for the analysis of business problems to identify the potential risk and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide documentation for identified problem, definition, and procedures for solving them
  • Responsible for providing optimal business solutions to achieve operational and financial goals
  • Appraise and recommend improvements to current business programs
  • Propose new techniques and technologies to meet business goals
  • Undertake research and collect data to better analyse outcomes
  • Responsible for developing business presentations for management and clients as needed
  • Regularly monitor business performance and generate performance reports to management

YOU’VE GOT TO HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO DO YOUR JOB WELL…

  • Ability to interpret data and translate into clear performance metrics
  • Understanding of the OTT broadcast chain and integral workflows and processes, understanding of the DAZN Platform Infrastructure a clear advantage
  • Basic understanding of rights requirements and the intricacies of content scheduling
  • Interest in sports broadcast and the live delivery of content a benefit
  • Strong understanding of the key performance Indicators of success within an OTT environment and the ability to provide clear measurements against such KPIs
  • Ability to work alone or in a team to devise, develop and deliver strategic initiatives to drive business efficiency

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD THESE DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE TOO…

  • Ability to work alone or in a team to devise, develop and deliver strategic initiatives to drive business efficiency 
  • Experience using data dashboards including Tableau, PowerBI and looker 
  • Knowledge of broadcast management and scheduling systems

You will work alongside the Central data functions and help develop a reporting matrix with agreed KPIs in which our teams can impact the customer experience. You will develop a clear measurement framework and a weekly reporting structure to provide data and empowerment to divisional leads in order to assess key performance metrics. 
 
You will also be expected to review the workflows and the overall utilization of the delivery platform, working with other departments to provide early warning of potential risks to the platform as well as working with engineering teams to identify potential solutions and efficiencies to our ways of delivering content.
