DAZN is looking for highly motivated and passionate engineers to join the Broadcast Support Engineering team. This role is at the forefront of our business, while predominately supporting DAZN broadcast infrastructure and operational teams to deliver live sports content at a high standard to consumers on multiple platforms.
The role is one of the key customer facing roles within the department and therefore you must not only possess excellent technical skills, but must have strong customer facing and communication skills, as you will be required to be in contact with MCR operators across the world, in order to create the best possible output for our vast range of consumers.
DAZN is a digital leader in sports media, and we are constantly growing. We’ve secured some major sports contracts from Matchroom Boxing to the Women’s Champions League and the Serie A, as well as launching some huge partnerships with Youtube and Snapchat. Recently a job role has come available in our Transmission team, meaning that we need an engineer to join the group and have an impact on millions of daily users. We regularly promote internally so this is a wonderful place to start in your DAZN career. We are also proud that despite the workload, we try and keep a relatively relaxed atmosphere in the transmission room.

As our new Broadcast Support Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Monitoring of DAZN’s critical broadcast systems
- Act as an escalation point for operations teams in resolving technical faults.
- Provide regular maintenance of broadcast playout and related production equipment.
- Follow best practice and procedure on internal and external ITSM systems.
- Attending meetings with team leaders and senior engineers to improve process and instructional guidance documentation.
- Communication and escalation with vendors
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
- Knowledge of broadcast technology including playout, IP networking, contribution, and video and audio encoding
- Experience with technical fault finding and root cause analysis
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or similar
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Dataminer, Grafana or similar
- Experience working on 24/7 shift patterns
Even better if you have:
- Knowledge of Cloud and Virtualisation technologies
- Awareness of current OTT encoding technologies.
