Join DAZN as we continue to change the game and the way the world consumes sports. We are ready to take the next steps on that journey by changing the relationship between broadcasters, advertisers and the customers. As Product Director, Digital Advertising Technology, you’ll help achieve this mission and lead DAZN and sports streaming into this new era of highly targeted advertising. 
 
Together with the new advertising technology team and working with our experienced global ad sales teams from US to Japan you will define the production direction of advertising across the DAZN business. You’ll be delivering the opportunities for significant growth in our nascent advertising operation through a combination of driving high performance from existing technologies as well as the integration of emerging advertising products and inventory, which must fit seamlessly into the fantastic product

This role will be based in Hammersmith, London. As our new Product Director, Digital Advertising Technology, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with all DAZN teams and ExCo to define product strategy, prioritise, get buy-in, and ensure all stakeholders understand key deliverables, priorities, and timing. 
  • Lead the product deliverables for Advertising and ad placement to ensure work is progressing according to priorities as agreed with stakeholders and delivery dates are met. 
  • Manage and motivate a high performing Product team and work with revenue strategy and tech counterparts to deliver high performing products with immediate and tangible business value.  
  • Act as a role model for Advertising product ensuring revenue growth whilst the quality bar for customer experience is consistently raised. 
  • Direct qualitative and quantitative research into market conditions, new technologies, sales methods, and consumer preferences, that will inform the DAZN advertising experience 
  • Build a data-centric culture and capabilities to define, monitor and respond to user metrics as well as revenue KPIs 

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Strong experience of either agency side or broadcaster implementing digital advertising technology with direct experience implementing advertising technology products in an OTT environment 
  • Solid understanding of both the commercial and operational practices within advertising delivery and serving, with clear ability to operate to revenue based KPIs 
  • Experience working with Dynamic ad insertion or similar technologies in a live broadcast environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts such as architectural and development techniques, able to translate to and from technical and non-technical emails, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunities 
  • Strong strategic vision but also not afraid to roll up sleeves and dive into the details to get the work done 

Even better if you have:

  • Experience delivering ad technologies in a live broadcast environment 
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end chain of live targeted ad placement acquisition and reporting and a proven track record of delivering personalised ad solutions 
  • Understanding of the challenges of delivering platform wide solutions across multiple distinct territories and regulatory bodies.
