A BIT ABOUT THE TEAM:
The TV catalogue team is made up of 10 Engineers, a Product Manager, Scrum Master and an Engineering manager. Our team are a group from various and diverse backgrounds, we don’t have any hierarchy within the team as everyone brings something different and has different experiences and knowledge. The team you will be joining are in charge of the catalogue chapter that is the main component of the TV app as well as creating the DAZN App that sits on the TVs and set top boxes; we are looking to bring more Smart TV app experience into this team, that’s where you come in!
WHAT'S MY DAY TO DAY LIKE?
We work using Agile and XP practices such as Scrum and Kanban and all work together in or own team room (when not all at home every day at the moment). You would be picking items up from the backlog and working on them usually in the form of pair programming; working towards delivering to the acceptance criteria and the teams Definition of Done. As an SDET you will sometimes pair with the other devs and sometimes be building the frameworks to help improve our testing and helping to promote good testing practices across the whole team
Aside from the day to day work you'll be part of refinement, planning retros and helping both your team and DAZN as a whole be a great place to work, our culture is very important to us and we want everyone to help define and drive it.
The essentials for you!
- Location: Hammersmith (2 minutes from the tube)
- Industry: Online Media and Broadcast Streaming
- Team size: 10 (we are going to split into 2 feature teams in the near future and you’ll be on one of the teams)
Here’s what you will be working on (not everything, just the important stuff)
- Work closely with multiple dev / product teams to create and maintain test cases covering product / feature requirements
- Test user stories across multiple features / projects providing daily update reports, collating and presenting accurate metrics of testing activities, to global partner, product and development teams.
- Work closely with global external partners to establish multi-platform test requirements
- Establish best practice testing strategy and ensure that UAT is performed to a high standard.
To make an impact within the team some of these things would be a great benefit;
- Experience working on mobile, TV platforms and games consoles in an agile environment.
- Worked on live applications with a continuous feature development / release cycle.
- Understanding of BDD, exploratory testing, defect regression, smoke-testing and test planning.
- Experience of bug database systems and test-tracking software such as JIRA and Test Rail.
- Enjoy being empowered to use your initiative and drive ideas forward
- Communication and influencing skills with all seniority levels.
- You enjoy speaking with people of all seniority levels in any business.
