What's your new role about?

Come and join me on an exciting journey to redefine the Agile work culture at DAZN. This is a great opportunity to transform the system and business processes around our Agile ways of working across the business and put your own stamp on it.

Are you passionate about JIRA? Do you have great ideas about how JIRA & Confluence can help a global organisation deliver? Does redefining an organically grown system excite you?

You will have a vital role in managing and promoting this critical system that underpins key areas of the business from DAZN platform development to resource planning to project management. You will understand business needs and design solutions to meet those needs, collaborating with other technology stakeholders to deliver high quality results.

A large part of your role will be to assess and re-design JIRA and Confluence applications to improve system usage and security with a focus on allowing data to flow between systems and be readily available.

Serving as a subject matter expert this is a great opportunity to shape the organisation’s application roadmap. You will work with various stakeholders of the system to plan the future expansion and maintenance of Atlassian estate at DAZN by building strong partnership with SMEs across the business to gain project-specific requirements and to promote growth and evolution of the Atlassian experience.

You will be part of a dynamic team reporting to Head of CRM & Project Platforms team who sits in the System & Services Strategy team, that manage and support a number of employee focused systems.

This role can be aligned to Feltham, Hammersmith or Leeds

Benefits will depend on your location but will include access to DAZN, an annual performance related bonus, family friendly community, free access for you and one other to our workplace mental health platform app (Unmind), learning and development resources, opportunity for flexible working and access to our internal speaker series and events.

As our new Jira System Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work cross-functionally with business teams to understand their current business practices and seeing where an Atlassian solution could make things more efficient or cost effective. This includes building and maintaining workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes.
  • Own maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence, and integrations with other tools or plugins
  • Review and approve global changes to Jira and Confluence to maintain system stability.
  • Provide recommendations to various lines of business on best practices and standardization in implementing and leveraging processes within the Atlassian Suite.
  • Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
  • Present technical design to our key business stakeholders and be able present it to a non-technical team.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Experience successfully administering & customising  JIRA/Confluence environments with a mixture of on-premises and cloud experience, preferably in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, finding solutions to technical problems
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum
  • Experience in using/extending REST Services provided by Atlassian
  • Experience with stakeholder impact analysis; solution positioning, design and delivery.
  • Presentation skills
  • Being Proactive, enthusiastic and committed to delivering solutions that clients love.
  • Ability to self-research and identify best practices from industry sources

Even better if you have:

  • Agile Scrum Master certification
  • Work experience in VB Script, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, SQL, and/or Python
  • Broadcast industry experience and understanding of broadcast systems/technologies
